about maps

My name is christian today in class we learned about the differences between a map and a model. I got bored so I started talking to Jerome then we both got in trouble but when the teacher would turn around to write something on the bored I would ask him something or he would ask me a question. Then Justin M. kept talking about his uncle with the big Afro making me laugh I tried to stop but I couldn't. That's why I was behind writing the model, topographic and profile map that was on the bored.

Hi I am today's blogger. This is what we learned and did through out the day. Today in math the class learned more about angles and measured angles. The class enjoyed D.A.R.E. At recess we played a little bit of kick ball. After recess we had reading. We learned about context clues and read a chapter of our blood on the river book.Our class had a wonderful day!!!

Today we learned about how to find out what a word means we can use a dictionary,or context clues etc.We played kick ball against Mrs.Haywood's class.We learned how to use a protractor and about angles and how to draw them.Also Mrs.Hafner told us how the third part of are candiats project.

We did angles today.I got bored a little.But I did"nt fall asleep.Also I played kickball.Igot lucky to times.I got hit in the head but I'm fine.

Today was the very first day that we got a compliment at the very end of the day from Mrs.Hafner and the compliment was that we had done a great jos cleaning up the class room then we all yelled yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh. and i am the person that almost finished my spelling and then Mrs.Hafner put some questions on the board and they were The boys hear the sailors telling stories about the Native americane coulture Describe in a paragrah how the sailors describe them:) Also we had to color a picture about what we had visulized while Mrs.Hafner was reading and then i made me a picture of the ship that they were on and then in me my picture came to life. :):):) also when we got out to recces i played kick ball and i ran about 3 home runs and i rock LOL. :):):):):):):):):):):):):):) Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahah how are youll doing

Today we learned about what where going to do for jamestown for the field trip.we get to bring mp3 players and other electronics I can't wait for the field trip in april next year.

The Most busiest day ever in 5th grade

Today, we went outside for a experiment for our math lab. We had to find out how many yard we can go in 3 SECONDS! I went 13 yards for running backwards. Also, we started reading Mrs. Hafner's book called Blood on the River. So far, we read about a boy stealing a locket because it was his mother's locket who died. From 2:30 to about 3:00, our vice Principal, Mrs. Sauer, came in to take a look of how our class is going. At recces, I fell down and hurt both of my knees while running. I'm OK now if you want to know. We also had to do our spelling from day 1 to day 3! Because Mrs. Hafner gave us our spelling words today! Well, it's OK. Because I am almost done with my spelling.. Tomorrow is the day we check the books at the book fair. Trust me. This is a busy day today.

I hade fun going out side and timing people how fast they can go. When i crawled i got 3 sec the first time the 2nd time i got1.71 and the last trial i got 3 sec again. At the end my aVERAGE WAS 3 SEC.

today in class we did a lot of things. Starting off with th usual, morning work. During the day some people left the classroom for other things. this was a really special day because it was mix-match day! Most people didn't celebrate it, they must have something wrong with their brains! Anyway, for science we went around the room and said positive things about everyone's model. after, we made a map of it and Mrs. Hfner took everyone's picture with the model, people in the group and map. We're all movie stars now! then we move on to math where we learned how to subtract fractions. it was a little confusing to me. after math we had D.A.R.E. we watched a video called the Broken Toy. to everybody, I think, it was sad! we had lunch and recess next. of course they were great because..... NO WORK! then we had a short reading focus lesson about persuasive texts. then everybody worked on their election projects. we also had reading groups and the chance to color the Brazil flag. last we had to finish spelling and write down homework. WOW IT WAS A BBBUUUSSSYYY DAY!

Toris super Experience for Today:)

Today I worked my election project and i got ssssssoooooooooooo much finished well not ssssssoooooooooooo much ............well you get the point dont u dont u dont uuuuuuu!!!!i bet your going to say what the !?!?!?well any way i learned that John McCain has 3 children 3 I say threeeeeeee!!!and that Obamas mom is white and his dad is black. I fell bad for him because at 2 his parents seperated isnt that sad :(
and i Found out why its so important to vote because the economy is going down that means people are losing their needs like food,cars,houses sad right :(

Cool sub, Cool work, Cool day!!!!!!!!!!!

Our sub, Mr.Carris, told us about the trail of tears. The Cherokees were forced out of their homes. They had to walk more then 5,000 miles. It was pretty sad... on the other hand, our sub told us of how gas prices are going higher, and food storing is getting lower. It's a very big deal to our economy. Which is why the candidates are struggling to stick with the issues. Our current lesson in math is how to compare fractions. There are alot of steps. I'm surprised I can remember them all... well overall I think we had a great day. We had alot of stories about older times, and we had a great time. Awesome! Just totally awesome!!!

Election Project Part 2

Today at the computer lab we researched the presidential candidates and filled out a worksheet for the information we collected today. I'm researching Sarah Palin because I believe she can make change to washington and history. I am in group 1 and determined to get a good grade. With the information I've recieved McCain and Palin have a great set up for the U.S.!!!!!!
